Order Untreated NZ Pine Sawdust
Our sawdust is locally sourced, 100%, NZ grown radiata pine. A by-product from the sawing of logs, it’s super absorbent. Often the icing on the cake in animal sheds, it’s used in calf sheds, nurseries, wintering and standoff pads. Whether you’re looking for sawdust for your horse stables, composting, dairying, or goats, we deliver in Otago and Southland.
We know some locals who like to mix the layers, they think it lasts longer and provides a drier surface. Some people swear by two layers of wood chip, followed by a layer of sawdust. Some even throw in a bottom layer of lime. Sawdust is ideal for:

- Horse stables
We know some people who prefer to use our shavings for calf pads and sheds. Let us know what works in your area, as moisture levels and ground types can affect things. There’s also a fair bit of personal preference.
